Back to school

Soo school started back last week and we had to take a class photo.. Thought I would share it = ]

this has been my class for the last seven months, minus four that changed schools or classes and plus three new kids..

I've made amazing friends here and I Love school..

The Family

Well, I recently took my family photo for the second family because thier youngest daughter left for Mexico two days later..

I sent the Picture to mum and dad in an email.. The email made mum cry..

Here is what I wrote...

Nikki is having a moment...we just took a family photo, cause Corrine goes on tuesday and this is like the last chance that we can..Looking at them and thinking back over the last three and a half months, These people have had a huge impact on my life..there have been times where I've hated it and just wanted to Escape (usually me being over dramatic and it was never that bad) and there have been times when these people have had an amazing effect on my life.

Through the good times and the bad.. they have been my family, even if they didn't really want to, they have.

While staying with the family, my German has improved alot, I've figured out what I want to do with my life, and I've discovered some of the most beautiful places in Switzerland.

I've also Met Five amazing people that have put up with me for 3 and a half months, people that have and are continuing to turn me into a better person (by encouriging me to talk more and to go out and to work hard for my german)

It amazes me that Three very different families are willing to take me into there houses for four months, and let me be a part of the family and not do it for money, just to do it because they want the expierence too.

when things are bad..

After I think about it, It's normal, Its what happens in families..Ehhh I think I'm growing up.. You two and karl, will always be my family, my favourite.. but these people are amazing too.

I suggest you google it cause I have no idea how it goes.. basically you just have to get the other guy on there back and you wear weird shorts...

Summer Holidays

Hey Everyone!

Well it's been a little while since I've updated this but there will be about 3 new posts tonight so enjoy = ]

Also,

I have just finished my Six weeks summer holidays which was absolutly wonderful = ]

For the first two weeks we relaxed and I did a few small trips to beautiful places (refere to last post)

and then we packed and Left for Tessin (Ticino) for three weeks!

We drove for six hours, due to dreadful traffic and everything.. untill we finally arrived in the small villiage called Aurigeno, it is in the Maggia valley (look it up on a map) and is about a twenty minute drive from Locarno.

The first two weeks were spent with My host mum, host sisters, host brother, Cousins, and an aunty and uncle as well as host grandma. Then in the last week All of the cousins and aunty left except one = ] and then came My host dad and family friends.. yeah I know thats confusing.. but basically we were 11 people at all times bar one night..

We had a small three story house that is traditional to tessin, and Nadine (host sister) Thomas ( host brother) and Neualia (host cousin) slept by Ava, Ava is the father of one of my host mum and dad's best friend, she lives in Aurigeno and has an amazing house.. Its two seperate buildings, one for sleeping and showering and the other is the lounge room, kitchen and art gallery.. It was one of those houses that I have always wanted to live in, old, full of books and interesting things, the tiny spiral staircase leading up to the trap door to get into the attic (we slept there)

We did alot of Hiking, I think I did 5 big hikes in total, some with over 800 height meters (I don't know what its is in english) They were all really beautiful and I always felt good after I was finished = ]
